After spending seven years in Italy as an Airborne Infantryman, Chef Tommy Meneses chose to begin his career in the foodservice industry at the Le Cordon Bleu Program at the California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, CA. He initially started cooking as a teenager to help out his working mother around the house, and through that experience, chose to pursue a career as a chef.
After graduation, he spent a few years working with catering companies in Los Angeles, including Wolfgang Puck and Cooking with Lenny. There, he had the opportunity to prepare meals for such productions as The Biggest Loser, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, American Ninja Warrior, and Cedar Rapids. After moving to Washington in 2012, he became the Executive Chef at Pacific Grill Events & Catering.
Then in December 2013, he took the position of Corporate Chef at Bargreen Ellingson. As corporate chef, Tommy manages the test kitchens in Seattle, Tacoma, and Portland. He is available to offer expert advice on equipment and cooking techniques. He enjoys cooking Italian food, southern style BBQ, Hispanic cuisine, and experimenting with his own unique cooking methods.
